Breakforce refers to a straight pull, while lashing capacity refers to the strength of the unit when going over (lashing) a load. Lashing Capacity is calculated as one half of the breakforce (or Breaking Strength). For example, the QL45 has a 2000kg Breakforce and a 1000kg Lashing Capacity. With EN-standard and GS-certificated products the ratio between B/S and LC is higher and it includes also other safety factors than just the strap.
